Mid-Atlantic Section

We are proud to announce that the American Physical Society has established a new section that will serve the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The new Mid-Atlantic Section (M-AS) is a unit of the APS with the goal to strengthen the physics community in its region and to aid APS in its mission to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics at the regional level.

The 2017 Annual Meeting of the APS Mid-Atlantic Section (M-AS) was held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ on November 3 - 5, 2017.

Nominees and award and office holders are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
