Our team developed the advocacy worksheet as a tool to help you be an effective advocate on any issue you care about. The worksheet guides you through a step-by-step process to develop your advocacy idea, connect with allies and outline a plan of action.
APS Reports
APS creates policy-related reports through its Panel on Public Affairs and through its Government Affairs team.
2022 Priority Issues
Each year, APS chooses policy priority issues to focus its advocacy efforts. To assist members in reaching out to their representatives and federal officials on these issues, APS GA generates fact sheets with talking points detailing these issues. The current priority issues are:
- Addressing the Chronic Shortage of High Quality STEM Teachers in the US
- Effective Monitoring of Methane Emissions to Address Climate Change
- Federal Research Funding: Robust Investments Essential to US Competitiveness
- International STEM Students Are Key to American Innovation and the US Economy
- US Missile Defense System Is Unreliable Even in Idealized Testing Conditions

2021 Priority Issues
