During the three and a half week school, July 15 through August 8, forty-nine students from fifteen African countries plus one student from Iran have been trained by world renowned scientists. ASP2012, sponsored by twenty-two institutions, has demonstrated the capacity and resources available in an African university and was an opportunity to discover young African talent.
