Overview

Pending final review of the C20 Commission in August, the American Physical Society's Division of Computational Physics will host and organize the annual Conference on Computational Physics in 2005 (CCP2005).

CCP2005 is the next in a series of international annual meetings that began with the PC'89 conference in Boston, Massachusetts and has continued most recently with CCP2003 that took place in Xi'an, CHINA, 20-25 July 2003; and CCP 2004 that will take place in Genoa, Italy, 1-4 September 2004.

The 2005 international conference is sponsored jointly by the American Physical Society, the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics, and the European Physical Society. CCP2005 will serve as the annual meeting for the APS Division of Computational Physics in 2005, and will take place 20-25 March at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, California, USA.

CCP2005 will highlight basic and applied computational physics and its applications worldwide to the university, industrial and laboratory communities, and will emphasize High Performance Computing.

Program Committee

The Conference Chairman is Chair-elect of the APS Division of Computational Physics, Lee A. Collins of Los Alamos National Laboratory. Conference Format

There will be morning plenary session talks for the full assemblage of participants. The afternoons will have a variety of sessions on computational physics, each with an invited speaker to begin the session and contributed talks following. The invited speakers will be chosen by special invitation and by nomination from the DCOMP membership.
