Events at APS March Meetings

The APS March Meeting centers on groundbreaking studies in condensed matter, materials, molecular and atomic physics, statistical and nonlinear physics, and data science.

• Undergrad Student Get-Together
  Network and mingle with fellow undergraduate attendees. This event is co-hosted by APS and the Society of Physics Students (SPS). A separate, virtual get-together will also be held for off-site attendees.
• Undergrad Lounge & Grad Fair
  Have a cup of coffee and relax in between sessions. This space is for undergrads only! Co-located with the lounge will also be a Graduate School Fair where you can chat with representatives from graduate programs looking to recruit undergrads.
• Workshop: Building Your Physics Career: How to Put Your Science to WORK
  In this interactive workshop, celebrated career coach and author Peter Fiske will provide advice and strategies for taking your physics job search to the next level.
• Student Reception
  The reception recognizes all students who presented in the Undergraduate Research Sessions. Top presentations receive a special prize. And of course, there is free food!

Events at APS April Meetings

The APS April Meeting focuses on cutting-edge research in the areas of astrophysics, particle physics, nuclear physics, and gravitation.

• Lunch with the Grads Panel & Graduate Reception
  Get to know a panel of graduate-level physics students over lunch and ask them about their experiences. Following the panel, you'll have the opportunity to speak with faculty and staff recruiting for their graduate programs during the Grad Reception.
• Undergraduate Breakfast, Career Workshop, and Awards
  Over breakfast, learn how to prepare for a wide variety of careers in physics outside of academia. Following the workshop, presenters from the APS/SPS Undergraduate Research Sessions will be recognized.
• Meet Your Future: Career Panel and Networking
  Physicists working in the private sector will share their insights on how students can prepare for physics careers.

• Undergraduate Research Sessions
  This is your opportunity to give an oral or poster presentation at an APS Meeting! Receive feedback on your work, meet potential colleagues, and earn a presentation certificate.
• Graduate School Fair OR Grad Reception
  Meet professors and students from graduate programs across the United States. Interested in participating? Learn more
