This graph shows the percent of physics doctoral degrees earned by women, and their respective distribution to permanent and temporary residents in the United States. The “Domestic” category includes all legal permanent residents. Data from 1966-1994 come from the NSF Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED), and data from 1995-present come from IPEDS.
