Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be a United States citizen or permanent resident entering the third year of study at an accredited American medical school and must also be a member of minority groups designated by the AAMC as underrepresented in medicine: Black American, Native American (American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian), Mexican American, and Mainland Puerto Rican.

AGI Minority Geoscience Student Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates enrolled in an accredited institution as an undergraduate student majoring (i.e., degree candidate) in geoscience, including the geoscience subdisciplines of geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, meteorology, physical oceanography, planetary geology, or earth-science education only. Financial support is for full-time students only, with demonstrable financial need, with verifiable ethnic-minority status as Black, Hispanic, or Native American (American Indian, Eskimo, Hawaiian, or Samoan). US citizens only. Permanent residents (green card) or candidates for U.S citizenship are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate will be full-time undergraduate student (12 hrs. per semester) at an accredited four-year college/university, or will be a full-time graduate student (9 hrs. per semester) at an accredited four-year college/university, or will be a full-time student at a two-year college enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree; will be majoring in one of the following: math, physical science, engineering, medicine, science, or natural resources; a member of an American Indian tribe or otherwise considered to be an American Indian by the tribe with which affiliation is claimed or is at least 1/4 American Indian blood or is at least 1/4 Alaskan Native or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group by which affiliation is claimed; has a 2.0 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). Must be a current member of AISES.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be minority students, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students, who will be entering their freshman year of college in the fall are eligible to apply. Students must plan to pursue careers in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American; a citizen or legal permanent residents or national of the United States; has attained a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale; will enter an accredited college or university as full-time, degree-seeking freshmen in the fall; has a significant financial need (i.e., meet the federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria); and has demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities. Eligibility Criteria: The Program is open to all students with a strong preference given to qualifying minority students of Native American, Hispanic, and African American ethnicities in the US that historically have been underrepresented in science and technology; enrolled in four-year institutions in the USA who are United States citizens or are foreign nationals with proper work visas.

Must have a college grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. Must be a business or engineering major. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be a minority student pursuing full-time studies leading to a bachelor’s degree at a college approved by LULAC and GM; have a college grade point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent, or for entering freshman, have a high school grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. Entering freshman must have also scored at least 23 on the ACT test (composite) or at least 970 on the SAT test (verbal & math) and must major in courses leading to a professional career in engineering.

National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME)
NACME Scholars Program
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be a minority (African American, American Indian, or Latino); be enrolled as a full-time student in a baccalaureate engineering program; attend an ABET-accredited institution, have completed at least one semester of study, and completed calculus, chemistry or physics with a minimum 2.7 GPA; se able to demonstrate financial need; and receive recommendations from an engineering dean, program director, and/or math, science or engineering faculty person.

NASA/NACME Undergraduate Student Award for Research (USAR)
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates for USAR must attend one of the 22 select institutions and be nominated by the university's NASA liaison. Undergraduate students majoring in mathematics, computer science, the sciences (life, physical, environmental, medical) or engineering may be considered. All Candidates must possess an average grade point of 3.0 or better; be enrolled in one of the majors relevant to NASA's mission; have earned no more than 39 credit hours (rising junior); demonstrate financial need as certified by the financial aid office; be a US Citizen.

The Siemens Teacher Scholarship initiative was launched in March 2005 in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund and the United Negro College Fund, to encourage minority students to consider careers teaching math and science.

Eligibility Criteria:Applicant must be an African American (Black, non-Hispanic); enrolled full time in a four-year college or university in the United States; a junior who will be a degree candidate; a life or physical sciences major. Applicants majoring in the physical sciences must have completed two semesters of organic chemistry. First professional degree majors (Pharm.D., D.V.M., D.D.S., etc.) & engineering degree majors are ineligible. A student with a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale; committed to work as an intern for two summers at a Merck research facility; and a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Eligibility Criteria: Female students who are high school seniors and plan to study science in the next academic year may apply. Candidates must be U.S. citizens who plan to attend a college or university in the United States. Candidates must have a 3.75 high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and an SAT score of at least 1200 (math plus verbal) or an ACT composite score of 24. Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement
Eligibility Criteria: Scholarships are given to 24 students, two females and two males in each of the six College Board regions, who have earned the highest and next to highest number of AP scores of 5 in seven exams. The exams are Biology, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Computer Science AB, Environmental Science, Physics C (Physics C: Mechanics and Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism each count as ½), and Statistics. All US high schools students are eligible, as are students who are home-schooled, and high school students in US territories. The student must still be in high school in December when the award is made.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be women pursuing baccalaureate or graduate degrees in Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering programs at SWE-approved colleges and universities; Computing Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB) accredited computer science programs at ABET-accredited or SWE-approved; colleges; and with the exception of reentry students, must be enrolled in full-time study.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings scholarship program is designed to: 1) increase undergraduate training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education and foster multidisciplinary training opportunities; 2) increase public understanding and support for stewardship of the ocean and atmosphere and improve environmental literacy; 3) recruit and prepare students for public service careers with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and other natural resource and science agencies in Federal, state and local government; and 4) recruit and prepare students for careers as teachers and educators in oceanic and atmospheric science and improve scientific and environmental education in the United States. Approximately 100 undergraduate students will be selected as Hollings scholars. U.S. citizen, undergraduate students who will be juniors in the Fall academic term at an accredited college or university in the United States or U.S. territories and are studying biological, life, and agricultural sciences; physical sciences; mathematics; engineering; computer and information sciences; social and behavioral science; and teacher education are encouraged to apply.

The Acoustical Society of America announces the availability of a fellowship for graduate study in scientific areas related to the field of acoustics.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the fellowship, the applicant must have permanent residence or citizenship in the United States or Canada at the time of application. He/she must also be a member of a minority group (Hispanic, African American or Native American) that is underrepresented in the sciences. Evidence of acceptance into, or good academic standing in, a graduate degree program is also required.

American Fellowships support women doctoral candidates completing dissertations or scholars seeking funds for postdoctoral research leave from accredited institutions. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of scholarly excellence, teaching experience, and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research. Candidates may apply for only one of the awards below. Former recipients of these awards are not eligible to apply for additional American Fellowships or publication grants.

Eligibility Criteria: Eligible student candidates for the fellowship must be a member of an underrepresented minority group in the sciences, (Black/African American, Hispanic American, Native American, Native Pacific Islander and Alaskan Native American), be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent U.S. visa status, be enrolled as a full-time matriculating undergraduate student, be either a freshman with college level research experience, sophomore, junior, or senior who will not graduate before the completion date of the summer program, have taken introductory courses in biology, chemistry, and preferably microbiology prior to submission of the application have a strong interest in obtaining a Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in the microbiological sciences, and have lab research experience.

Bell Labs-Lucent Technologies Cooperative Research Fellowship Program for Minorities
Eligibility Criteria: College seniors who plan to enter graduate school the following autumn.
The CRFP develops scientific and engineering ability among members of those minority groups under-represented in science. The fellowship provides tuition, university fees, books, an annual living stipend and related travel expenses. Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority (CSURM) Fellowship
The Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority (CSURM) Fellowship program was established by the GRC Board of Trustees to honor Director Emeritus Carl Storm's many years of service to GRC and to support his commitment to increasing diversity at the Conferences. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates for Hertz Fellowships must be students of the applied physical sciences who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America, and who are willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the United States in time of national emergency. Eligibility Criteria: All Candidates must be either currently enrolled as full-time graduate students in an accredited U.S. college or university or making plans to enroll as a full-time student. Candidates must be citizens of the U.S. and may apply to the program prior to receiving their baccalaureate degrees or any time during their graduate work. Students who apply prior to acceptance in graduate school must submit a list of prospective schools, and if selected, must provide proof of acceptance prior to an award. All Candidates must have a faculty advisor or graduate department chair sponsor. An individual accepting this award may not concurrently receive other Federal fellowships or traineeships. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be citizens or nationals of the United States who intend to pursue a Ph.D. in one of the designated fields. Research Fellowships & Travel Award
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be a member of SDE/GWIS (membership may be obtained by including $20.00 in membership dues with the fellowship/travel award application). Awards will be made to women holding a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, of outstanding ability and promise in research, who are performing research at any institution in the U.S. or abroad. Postdoctoral fellows can expect to be evaluated more rigorously than student candidates. For the SDE Fellowships, awards are for research in all the natural sciences, including: physical, environmental, mathematical, computer, life sciences, anthropology, psychology and statistics.

The Foundation welcomes nominations of all candidates who meet the traditional high standards of this program, and strongly encourages the participation of women and members of underrepresented minority groups.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates are required to hold the Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or neuroscience, or in a related interdisciplinary field, and must be members of the regular faculty (i.e., tenure track) of a college or university in the United States or Canada. They may be no more than six years from completion of the most recent Ph.D. or equivalent as of the year of their nomination, unless special circumstances such as military service, a change of field, or child rearing are involved or unless they have held a faculty appointment for less than two years.

AAAS/NIH Science Policy Fellowships
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates in any physical, biological, or behavioral science, medicine, any field of engineering or any relevant interdisciplinary field; must have an M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral-level degree by the application deadline; and must be U.S. citizens. Federal employees are not eligible.

AAAS/EPA Environmental Fellowships
Eligibility Criteria: Applications are invited from individuals in any physical, biological or social science, any field of engineering or any relevant interdisciplinary field. All Candidates must have a Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral-level degree by the application deadline. Individuals with a master’s degree in engineering and at least three years of post-degree professional experience may apply. Federal employees are not eligible for the fellowships. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Eligibility Criteria: Applications are invited from individuals in any physical, biological, or social science, any field of engineering, or any relevant interdisciplinary field. AFCEA Postgraduate Ph.D. Fellowships
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with earned B.S. and M.S. degrees (or their equivalents) and be currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in electrical, electronic, chemical or communications engineering, physics, math, or computer science at any accredited university in the United States.

All Fellowships are awarded to incoming graduate students at academic institutions accredited for their graduate programs in Medical Physics by Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP).

Eligibility Criteria: Fellows are required to be US citizens and members of one or more of the
10 AIP Member Societies at the time of application. Qualifications include Ph.D. in physics or closely related field, or equivalent research experience. Applicants should possess interest or experience in scientific or technical aspects of foreign policy.

National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate (NDSEG)
Fellowship Program
Eligibility Criteria: The DoD Graduate Fellowship Programs are open only to candidates who are citizens or nationals of the United States. Persons who hold permanent resident status are not eligible to apply. NDSEG Fellowships are intended for students at or near the beginning of their graduate study in science or engineering. Candidates must receive their baccalaureate degrees by the Fall. Fellows selected in the Spring.

The National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program
The National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program (also known as Space Grant) contributes to the nation's science enterprise by funding research, education, and public service projects through a national network of 52 university-based Space Grant consortia. These consortia administer programs in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Energy Research Undergraduate Laboratory Fellowships (ERULF)
Eligibility Criteria: Students who are majoring in any branch of science, math, engineering and technology are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student and completed at least one semester, be 18 years or older at the start of the program, be United States Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above, can participate in a maximum of two ERULF internships, have coverage under a health insurance plan. It is the responsibility of each participant to secure insurance coverage before arriving at the appointment site.
